Being in the World: People and the Planet in French and Francophone Cinema
The Being in the World: People and the Planet in French and Francophone Cinema film festival, curated and presented by Columbia Maison Française, will host a FREE screening of Four Short Films by Julie Gautier, followed by a discussion and Q&A with director Julie Gautier and Gabri Christa, moderated by Shanny Peer. The films include: Narcisse (2022 U.S. Premiere), One Breath Around the World (2019), Ama (2018), and Narcose (2014).
"Sheila" at Harlem International Film Festival
Gabri Christa’s new experimental documentary Sheila will be presented at AMC Magic Johnson Harlem 9 Theatres as part of Harlem International Film Festival’s “Uptown Cinema - Saturday Short Cuts”. This event will feature 7 short films and a post-screening talkback with the filmmakers.
Gabri Facilitates Talkback after Kulunka Teatro's "André & Dorine"
From the Max Award-winning, internationally-acclaimed Kulunka Teatro, comes the unique theatrical event André & Dorine, running from April 27 - May 29, 2022 in a limited 5-week Off-Broadway engagement at Theatre at St. Clement's. This deeply emotional new work follows a pair of elderly artists as Alzheimer's forces them to relive and reinvent their love.
A post-show talkback will follow the Sunday, May 1 performance featuring experts on Alzheimer's along with the artists. Panelists include facilitator Gabri Christa, Georges Naasan, MD, and Garbiñe Insausti.
