Screendance Festivals and Online Audiences

FROM THE PUBLISHER

“This Is Where We Dance Now: COVID-19 and the New and Next in Dance Onscreen” is a special issue of The International Journal of Screendance guest-edited by Harmony Bench and Alexandra Harlig. This journal issue seeks to represent and respond to our current moment, during which 2020 and 2021 have rapidly, and possibly irrevocably, rewritten the playbook for dance onscreen and dance online.

The Screendance Festivals and Online Audiences roundtable — moderated by Harmony Bench with speakers Gabri Christa, Yolanda M. Guadarrama, Cara Hagan, Kelly Hargraves, and Marisa Hayes — was presented on 13 March 2021 as part of the symposium connected to this special issue. An edited version of the discussion was published in The International Journal of Screendance vol. 12 (2021). The video of the full roundtable conversation and Q+A is viewable at: https://doi.org/10.18061/ijsd.v12i0.8372
